The Arya Vaishya Cooperative Ltd., started as a society in 1919 at Gadag originally and is converted as a Cooperative Bank in the year of 1944 and thus it has completed the Banking business since from 1919 and now it has completed successful the 100 years of its journey as on 2019 and was awarded as a great Bank in the year of 1968. During the journey it has being a one of the few Banks that has survived over a century through its good work , ethics and professionalism.

Over these years the Bank is running its business with its members and serving the society in all the aspects although since 2001 the Bank is undergone the financial crisis due to The KCC Bank . never give up and confidently it is emerged and forward and stood firmly in the Banking sector with fulfilling all the parameters of RBI guidelines. It has never get any shortfall to maintain enough CRAR and CRRs and SLR as per the stipulations of the Reserve Bank of India.By overcoming the Crisis period the bank is surviving and regained the faith of the customers and thus doing the Banking business facing with all the challenges as since it loosed its deposits year by year from 2001 till 2008 and then by 2008 it regained the interest and it started growing steadily by then and now in the year of 2023 mark it stood its deposits with 13 crores. The Bank has different Deposit schemes and Loan schemes and thus encouraging and growing steadily with more and more advances and thus since from 2008 the Bank is under profit.
